Role Summary
In this exciting role you’ll be at the forefront of our Business Development and Licensing activities, driving impactful deals and strategic partnerships. As the Senior Business Development Manager you’ll be instrumental in executing our business development strategy.
Reporting to the Global Head of Business Development and Licensing, you will manage projects, timelines, evaluation, and commercial analysis for a broad range of new and existing commercial co-development deals, joint venture partnerships, as well as in-licensing and/or acquisition of key assets from various sources.
Core Responsibilities
1. Manage Business Development Projects
o Manage and deliver business development projects, creating comprehensive project plans covering scope, resources, schedules, and more.
o Maintain clear project objectives throughout the lifecycle, ensuring goals are met and exceeded.
o Monitor project progress, proactively offering solutions and seizing opportunities as they arise.
o Coordinate resources efficiently to keep the schedule on track, identifying and mitigating potential delays.
o Work cross-functionally with relevant internal stakeholders from the Commercial, Finance, Legal, and (Pre)Clinical teams to ensure the right inputs are obtained in a timely manner for the assessment of BD opportunities along the process (from first triage to final deal closing).
o Partner with the marketing and communications team to help execute the BD communication plan.
2. Conduct screens to identify new opportunities aligned to Healx scientific, therapeutic, and commercial portfolio strategy
o Identify asset in-licensing opportunities across a range of sources.
o Identify opportunities for discovery stage partnerships leveraging Healx’s platform.
o Identification, communication and management of risks and opportunities with new and existing partnerships and strategic alliances.
3. Facilitate all project team meetings
o Keep meeting minutes and distribute them in a timely manner.
o Follow up with team members on action items.
4. Conduct and support commercial analysis
o Conduct and support commercial analysis, gather epidemiological data, and identify relevant pricing analogs.
o Evaluate the competitive landscape, determine market share assumptions, and support all strategic decisions with robust data and research.

* Project management experience in the biotech/pharma industry.
* Experience working in life sciences management consulting, biotech or pharma.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
* Willingness to do what needs to be done in a dynamic environment.
* Experience conducting qualitative commercial analysis of pharmaceutical products to create a business case.
* Bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences-related discipline or advanced degree, or equivalent experience.
It’s a bonus if you have:
* Previous experience in executing business development and licensing activities.
* Experience in a smaller, more entrepreneurial environment.
* An MBA or similar degree.
* Experience in rare diseases, and/or the (pre)clinical development process.
