As a trust bank ITU nurse you will be able to choose a flexible working pattern to suit your work life balance in working as part of a committed multidisciplinary team at either of our two Intensive Care Units.

Main duties of the job
Working shifts as a band 5 bank ITU nurse, in either of our two Units at Royal Free Hospital or Barnet Hospital to deliver the highest quality care to our sickest patients, in line with our trust values
As an accountable registered ITU nurse you will be responsible for delivering excellent care to allocated level 2 or 3 patients providing total patient care to a range of medical and surgical patients including hepatology, infectious disease, cardiac, rheumatology and we are a specialist surgical centre for Hepatobiliary, Vascular and Renal surgery.
We are the largest renal centre in the North Central Network and have one of the busiest primary Cardiac Primary PCI centres in London.

Job responsibilities
The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for critically ill adults with supervision from senior staff.
The Post holder will develop specialist knowledge and competence in caring for critically ill adults by attending the introduction to intensive care course and by working with their mentors and clinical practice educators.
The post holder is expected to supervise and teach unqualified staff with the support and supervision of more senior members of the team.
To maintain a safe clinical environment conducive to patient care.
