This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to lead on Leicestershire’s public transport community engagement project. Working within a large multi-faceted team to drive forward the council's sustainable travel agenda, helping to deliver healthier, greener communities.
The work of the team includes the promotion of public transport, cycling, walking, wheeling, and car-sharing, the management of the council’s supported passenger transport network and the council’s extensive Public Rights of Way network
About the Role
This role will involve planning and delivering campaigns and events within the heart of Leicestershire communities to provide practical support and advice on accessing Leicestershire’s public transport network. You will be supporting the County Council’s public transport network review and will require the ability to work in a fast past environment as well as being flexible to ensure the communities needs are being met. For this role you will need excellent communication and organisation skills, be confident in demonstrating App based products such as digital demand responsive booking systems and have a wider knowledge of Choose How You Move initiatives. About You
To apply for this post, you must have:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject area or demonstrable work experience in a public-focused business
* Partnership working, including with schools, business, communities, and external organisations
* Developing and maintaining promotions and materials, including web-based media.
* Problem solving, and collecting, collating, and manipulating statistical information/data
* Good written and verbal communication skills demonstrating tact, assertiveness and diplomacy
* A customer focused approach where the customer experience is central to the delivery of the service
* Good numerical and analysis skills, and attention to detail
