Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Management:
* Manage a portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and trusts.
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for all tax-related matters.
* Provide tailored tax planning advice to clients, considering their individual circumstances and financial goals.
Tax Compliance and Advisory:
* Oversee the preparation and submission of self-assessment tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
* Advise clients on a wide range of tax issues, including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and income tax planning.
* Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and communicate implications to clients proactively.
Team Leadership and Development:
* Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
* Review work completed by junior team members, providing constructive feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Business Development:
* Identify opportunities to expand services to existing clients and attract new business.
* Participate in networking events and contribute to marketing initiatives to enhance the firm's profile in the marketplace.
Strategic Contribution:
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the firm's tax strategy.
* Collaborate with other departments to provide a holistic service to clients and identify cross-selling opportunities.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
* ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent.
* Extensive experience in private client tax, preferably within an accountancy practice environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and regulations.
* Proven track record of managing a diverse client portfolio and delivering high-quality tax advice.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
* Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
