Job description:
We are looking for a Sub Assembly Manager to oversee the sub assembly operations based in Silverstone. In this pivotal role, you will manage the assembly of complex components and systems essential for our motorsport vehicles. Your leadership will ensure the implementation of best practices, maintain high-quality standards, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Principal Accountabilities:
* Lead the sub assembly team, setting clear goals and performance indicators.
* Ensure that all components are assembled to the highest standards, adhering to engineering specifications.
* Streamline assembly processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Collaborate with engineering and design teams to address manufacturability challenges.
* Monitor workflow and make necessary adjustments to meet production schedules.
* Conduct regular training sessions to uplift the skillset of team members.
* Maintain compliance with safety and quality protocols.
* Foster a team environment that encourages innovation and accountability.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a managerial role related to sub assembly in the motorsport or automotive industries.
* Deep understanding of assembly processes and system integration.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
* Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
* Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Proficiency with project management tools and software.
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
* Experience in coordinating activities across multiple teams or departments.
