Social Mobility and Student Success (within the division of External Relations) is looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with young people to join the team in order to encourage social mobility and address educational inequality.
You will have a creative approach and experience of working with young people, teachers and schools/colleges to develop and deliver the Lancaster Access Programme (LAP), encouraging students from Widening Participation (WP) backgrounds to apply to Lancaster as a first-choice destination for UG study. You will be a self-starter with excellent project management skills and the ability to build strong collaborative relationships.
The capability and flexibility to work some weekends and evenings is an essential element of the role, along with a willingness to travel across the North West and occasionally further afield within the UK.
This is a full-time, indefinite role; however, we will also consider applications at 0.8 FTE. The role could be undertaken as a blended position with a mix of working remotely and working on campus, although solely working on campus is also an option. We welcome applications from people in all diversity groups.
We are located in a beautiful part of North West England with great facilities and a warm, welcoming community. We offer an occupational pension scheme, a generous annual leave allowance, excellent training and development opportunities, flexible benefits and an employee assistance programme.
