Receptionist required for a busy, friendly, doctors' surgery in Edgware.
Hours of work:
Monday - Friday 2pm - 7pm
25 hours per week, but you may be asked to do additional hours to cover absence.
Pay: £11.44 per hour.

Main duties of the job
1. To answer general enquiries in person and over the phone.
2. To process repeat prescription requests.
3. Respond to all queries and requests for assistance from patients and other visitors.
4. Book transport when needed.
5. Ensure reception and waiting areas are neat and tidy.
6. Ensure total familiarity with all appointment systems in effect.
7. Book appointments and recalls.
8. Answer external and internal telephones promptly.
9. Receive and make calls as required. Divert calls and take messages as appropriate.
10. Ensure that the system is operational at the beginning of the day.
11. To receive and accurately record messages for GPs, nurses and any other staff.
12. To deal with patient requests for test results.
13. Management of medical records.
14. Documentation management.
15. To act as chaperone on occasions for the doctors or nurses.
16. To attend training when organised by the Practice Manager.
17. To attend meetings when necessary.
18. Any other duties appropriate to the grade.

Person Specification
Location
* Lives in the Edgware area.
Experience
* Good written and verbal communication.
* Experience of working as a medical receptionist - 1 year minimum.
