About the position
We are currently working with a leading provider of industrial automation, test and measurement, information systems, and industrial services in several industries. Their aim is to shape a better future for our planet through supporting the energy transition, (bio)technology, artificial intelligence, industrial cybersecurity, etc. They work within Oil & Gas, Power, Chemical, and Food & Beverage.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Primarily you will assume a project delivery role.
2. Work in the project team to design and deliver new Pro-Safe hardwired safety control systems in accordance with lifecycle and engineering practices.
3. Design and execute modification work scopes for existing Pro-Safe hardwired safety control systems in accordance with lifecycle and engineering practices.
4. On occasions you may also be expected to assume a support role, by attending our client onshore/offshore sites to carry out maintenance, installation, and commissioning activities.
5. Support our sales team to deliver quotations by preparing sales supports for projects/modifications/renewals of the support contracts.
6. Develop customer awareness of safety engineering capabilities.
7. Assist in supporting the department with the development/maintenance of all necessary procedures & documentation associated with IEC61508/61511 certification.
8. Assist with Training when requested, and to ensure full conversancy with the latest versions of Safety Shutdown & Distributed Control Systems.
Experience Required:
1. Recognised qualification in either Electrical / Mechanical / Control Engineering or equivalent.
2. BOSIET/medical certificates or prepared to undergo training on commencement of the post.
3. Experience with the maintenance of Safety Shutdown & Distributed Control Systems onshore and offshore.
4. Knowledge of IEE 17th edition wiring regulations.
5. Wiring experience is desirable.
6. Functional safety experience, as well as certification, is desirable.
7. Minimum of 3-5 years relevant industry experience.
8. Can demonstrate a good understanding of relay logic and PLCs.
9. Experience using AutoCAD.
10. Experience using Windows and Office Applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
