About the role The role is a 6 month backfill Head of FP&A to lead BAU reporting and planning processes whilst we implement a new FP&A tool (Tagetik). As the temporary Head of FP&A, you will lead the Group financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions within a regulated business environment. This role is key in driving strategic decision-making, managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering MI to support the organization's growth and financial health. Leading a team of 4-5 individuals, you will support planning processes and monthly management reporting, bringing fresh perspective and best practice insights to the team. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, Finance CoE’s (Financial Control, Treasury, Business Partners and cross-functional teams (Revenue/Commercial) to and to communicate the Group’s combined performance along with actionable strategic and commercial insights and align financial strategies with business objectives. We are looking for an established and experienced hands-on Head of FP&A to lead, develop and grow the existing team/processes through this period of significant change. You’ll spend your time Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes, align ing with regulatory requirements and business goals Monitoring capital and liquidity forecasts and risks. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team based on financial analysis. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial planning and reporting activities comply with relevant regulations and standards. Manage risk effectively, ensuring adequate controls are in place throughout key processes. Scenario modelling and stress testing to support our capital and liquidity adequacy processes (ICARA). Performance Analysis and Reporting : Monitor and analy se key financial metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, working collaboratively with Finance and key stakeholders in the business. Prepare and present detailed financial reports to the board and senior management, refining and improving current reporting and processes. Support ad hoc data requests from the Board, Exco, regulators or the investors meeting, managing expectations and delivering to required deadlines. Team Leadership: Day-to-day m anage ment and mentor ship of the existing FP&A team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Promote collaboration across departments to enhance financial understanding and decision-making. Process Improvement: Support the implementation of the new planning system and utilise other tools to enhance productivity, data analysis and visualisation, and presentation of MI/ data. Identify and implement best practices in FP&A. Take responsibility in everything you do to deliver good outcomes for our customers. About you To succeed in this role, you'll need: Proven experience in a Head of FP&A role, ideally within a regulated business/s, with a strong view of best practice. Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience engaging with senior stakeholders. High p roficiency in financial model l ing, forecasting, and reporting tools. Leadership experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams. Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent. Strategic thinking and business acumen. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the energy and drive this requires. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
