Senior Investment Consultant (DC Pensions), Edinburgh
Mercer is seeking a Senior Investment Consultant to join our UK DC Pensions team. As a Lead Consultant, you will provide investment advice on complex clients. Mercer has one of the largest UK teams, adapting to a rapidly changing market landscape by leading change through education, tools, and services to optimize employer retirement outcomes.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide investment advice on objectives, policies, manager selection, and monitoring investments for institutional clients.
2. Create and evaluate investment strategies for large clients.
3. Develop business through relationship management, networking, and events as a DC expert.
4. Expand client relationships via presentations, RFPs, and cross-team collaborations.
5. Enhance marketplace visibility through speaking engagements and publications.
6. Manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
7. Assess client needs and guide the team to meet standards.
8. Peer review reports, ensuring client suitability.
Minimum requirements:
* Relevant professional qualification (e.g., IMC, FIA/FFA, CFA).
* Experience in investment advice within a DC consultancy or leadership role.
* Knowledge of investment products in the DC pensions market.
* Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
