Robinson West are working with a well-known manufacturer in the Building Materials industry who looking for a sales professional to join the team as an Area Sales Manager to cover the Midlands down to the South Coast. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on building relationships, driving sales, and identifying market opportunities.
About the Role
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for implementing a commercial strategy to grow market share and strengthen the company’s presence in your region. Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners, and prospects
* Promoting and selling high-quality products with a focus on added-value solutions
* Providing training and support to local sales teams
* Identifying market trends and opportunities to stay ahead of competitors
* Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless operations
* Attending exhibitions and trade fairs to enhance brand awareness
About the right Candidate
* 3-5+ years of B2B sales experience, within the building materials industry. Ideally dealing with Merchants and Buying Groups.
* A self-motivated individual with a strong ability to build partnerships and seize opportunities
* Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
* Willingness to travel in your territory (up to 50%) and occasionally visit the company’s headquarters in Belgium.
* Strong commercial and analytical skills with a customer-focused approach.
