Cenex is a not-for-profit organisation employing 50 people across the UK and Netherlands, with the overall objective of lowering emissions through innovation in transport and the associated energy infrastructure.
We run Europe’s Premier innovation event for the Net Zero and Connected Automated Mobility community (www.cenex-expo.com). The event incorporates technology exhibition, extensive seminar programmes, facilitated networking with UK and overseas delegates and a ride & drive experience for the latest hybrid, electric and alternatively fuelled vehicles available on the market, as well as those from research projects.
In this role you will:
1. Support in the development and delivery of Cenex Expo
2. Engage with stakeholders to drive sales and sponsorship and promote delegate registration/attendance
3. Liaise with suppliers, clients and contractors to ensure all expectations are met
4. Manage event admin, including but not limited to the event app, exhibitor listings, VIPs and event feedback
5. Manage small side events during Cenex Expo
6. Monitor and support delivery against our event project plan and objectives
7. Support the delivery of Cenex project dissemination activities, events and training programmes
8. Support the marketing and communications staff as required
To be considered for the role you should possess:
1. At least 3 years of relevant event organisation experience
2. Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject
3. Enthusiasm for and an interest in zero emission vehicles
4. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
5. Strong communication skills, the ability to negotiate and set expectations
6. High attention to details
7. Demonstrable team skills
8. Proven self-starter and capable of working unsupervised
9. Highly motivated
10. Experience/knowledge of marketing and/or communications
11. Highly competent in Microsoft Office suite
12. Valid UK driving licence and ability to travel in the UK if needed
13. Willing to work occasional evenings if required
14. Entitled to work in the UK
