We have an excellent opportunity for a Learning & Development Business Partner to join our People team.
You will manage the build and development of the internal Learning & Development service/offering for the business, driving L&D to deliver effective solutions that support operational and strategic business plans.
Permanent position, based at our offices in West Bromwich, with hybrid working.
Travel to other sites is required and a driving license and own transport is required.
Main responsibilities:
* Plan and develop an L&D offering, to deliver a range of training courses using a blended learning approach.
* Review, develop and launch the new Corporate Induction Programme.
* Develop, launch and manage the Sharp UK Academy/Apprentice programme.
* Plan and conduct an organisational Training Needs Analysis.
* Design, implement and evaluate training programs to enhance employees’ skills and knowledge.
* Develop and manage the L&D plan and associated budget.
* Identify and develop evaluation mechanisms to determine the effectiveness of L&D interventions and measure Return on Investment.
* Support the design and implementation of career pathways and succession opportunities across the business to drive retention.
* Partner with the people team to design and deliver Management Development Programs.
* Review and develop an implementation plan to launch the E-learning platform.
* Manage and utilise the apprenticeship levy, maximising ROI.
* Undertake and support L&D planned project work.
* Develop management information to record, monitor and control all L&D activities.
* Continually improve the effectiveness, value for money, and delivery of L&D initiatives.
* Negotiate provision of external learning and development interventions.
* Provide tailored/local/121 support to address specific knowledge, skills and competence gaps.
Requirements:
* Ideally CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Organisational Learning and Development qualified.
* Extensive experience in building, designing, implementing and evaluating training programmes.
* Proven experience in a similar L&D role, ideally across multi sites.
* Demonstrable experience and skills in the full training cycle.
* Proven stakeholder management experience - ability to collaborate across multiple functions whilst being able to influence key stakeholders.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and engage with employees at all levels.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organisational goals.
* Strong interpersonal skills, experience building effective relationships with employees, managers, and external training and apprenticeship providers.
* Proactive in identifying training needs and developing appropriate solutions.
* Demonstrable influencing, communication, and presentation skills at all levels.
* Proven organisational skills with strong track record in delivering results.
* Ability to manage and formulate budgets based on Training Needs Analysis.
* Ability to evaluate interventions to ensure effectiveness in achieving objectives and ROI.
* Good analytical skills – able to use metrics with colleagues to drive improvement.
* Results focused – desire to see the L&D activity impact on revenue.
