Your role is pivotal in budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with UK financial regulations-all while driving profitability across our retail operations.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support business growth.\nMonitor financial performance and provide insightful analysis to senior management.\nPrepare accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.\nDevelop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures in line with UK accounting standards.\nEnsure compliance with UK tax regulations, VAT, and other statutory requirements.\nCollaborate with operational teams to manage costs and enhance financial efficiency.\nLiaise with external accountants and regulatory bodies as needed.\nIdentify risks and opportunities within the business, offering recommendations for improvement.\nSupport the implementation of financial systems and processes for enhanced reporting and operational effectiveness.\nManage and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Key Requirements:\n\nQualifications: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent finance qualification.\nExperience: Minimum 5 years in a finance role, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity within the retail or e-commerce sector.\nTechnical Skills: Strong understanding of financial reporting, UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial modelling.\nCommercial Acumen: Ability to translate financial insights into strategic business decisions.\nSystems Knowledge: Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.\nLeadership: Strong team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop finance professionals.\nCommunication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.\nAttention to Detail: High level of accuracy and analytical skills with a proactive problem-solving approach.
