Case Manager - Advanced Youth Offending Service Officer (Social Care Qualified) – Temporary Group: Education and Inclusion Job Title: Advanced Youth Offending Service Officer (Social Care Qualified) Employment Type: Temporary Positions Available: 2 Start Date: 10 March 2025 Duration: 26 Weeks Hours per Week: 36 Reason for Hire: Long-term sickness cover IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Location: Station Road, Ilford, Greater London, IG6 1NB Rate: PAYE: £20 (Depending on expericnce) per hour Umbrella: £28 (Depending on Experience) per hour Job Overview: We are seeking Advanced Youth Offending Service Officers to join our Education and Inclusion team. This role is essential in providing effective case management and intervention for young people involved in the youth justice system. Key Responsibilities: ✅ Manage a caseload of youth justice cases, including both out-of-court disposals and statutory court orders, in line with National Standards and the HMIP Inspection Framework. ✅ Adopt a Child First, Offender Second approach to support young people in completing their orders and leading crime-free lives. ✅ Work closely with young people, families, and external partners to ensure the best outcomes. ✅ Promote equality, diversity, and anti-discriminatory practice in all areas of work. ✅ Use AssetPlus as an assessment and planning tool, with a focus on trauma-informed practice to build strong foundations for positive change. ✅ Collaborate with partner agencies to deliver evidence-based group and individual interventions aimed at reducing offending and supporting engagement in education, employment, and training. ✅ Prepare Pre-Sentence Reports, Stand-Down Reports, and Referral Order Panel Reports as required. ✅ Represent the Youth Justice & Targeted Prevention Service (YJTPS) in Court proceedings. ✅ Implement tailored interventions to protect young people and safeguard the wider community. Strong knowledge of youth justice case management, risk assessment, and intervention planning.
