Job Type: Full-time Location: Leicester Salary: £11.57 per hour (37 hours per week) We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Student Services Assistant to join our vibrant team. This role is crucial in providing a friendly and efficient service to our students, assisting them with a wide range of administrative and support tasks. The ideal candidate will be a key player in facilitating a supportive environment that enhances the student experience. Day-to-day of the role: Provide a welcoming reception service for students, directing them to appropriate sources of information and advice. Offer easy access to information on transport, financial support, and attendance matters. Provide information and advice on sources of financial support for students and assess eligibility through the application process. Assist in the administration of financial support payments. Help organise and administer key College promotional events such as Open Day and Welcome days. Support the organisation and administration of applications and interviews for prospective students. Assist with the administration and organisation of enrolment. Receive and record information about individual student absences, including transferring information from the voicemail service and inputting data on Promonitor related to absences. Provide support and guidance for student clubs and societies, the Student Ambassador scheme, and the Student Executive, including support for associated events and activities. Provide administrative assistance for the UCAS application process, including managing log-ons for staff and students and processing student references. Assist in the production of the student bulletin, the use of digital signage, and managing relevant social media accounts. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting. Strong organisational and communication skills. Proficiency in using office software and digital communication tools. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Experience in handling confidential information with discretion.
