Spirehouse are currently supporting a Housing Association in need for a Neighbourhood Housing Officer on a nine month fixed term basis.
The Opportunity:
My client is seeking a Neighbourhood Housing Officer for a nine-month period to cover maternity leave. The successful applicants will have extensive experience in supporting those vulnerable with all housing management duties, including tenancy, maintenance, ASB and welfare and benefits. Although hybrid the individual would ideally be located in Evesham / Cheltenham.
The successful candidate will:
* Deliver an excellent, consistent, and pro-active service to the neighbourhood, including income recovery, tenancy management, anti-social behaviour, empty property management, letting new homes and customer viewings
* Promote increased digital inclusion, signposting customers to local learning opportunities and related services
* Take timely action over breaches of the tenancy agreement including condition of property, untidy gardens, fly tipping, abandoned vehicles and tenancy fraud, and escalate serious breaches of tenancy to the Team Leader
* Carry out visits and offer support to customers affected by Welfare Reform changes, in particular, Universal Credit
* Provide advice and guidance to applicants and transferring tenants on all available housing options. Interview tenants and members of the public and carry out pre-transfer visits
Further information:
* Interviews to commence ASAP
* Interim at 9 months
* £35,200 per annum
* Full-time at 37 hours
* Hybrid working 2-3 days on site dependant on business needs
* Car allowance provided
Requirements:
* Full UK driver's licence with access to a vehicle
* Extensive housing management knowledge
* Expectancy to travel for patchwork
