Based at Peterborough City Hospital, you will deliver exceptional, patient-centred care, lead the MIBI service, and contribute to both inpatient and outpatient services. Main duties of the job The key responsibilities of the role include: Deliver exceptional, patient-centred care, driving innovation and excellence in cardiology and cardiac imaging. Contribute to general cardiology services, including outpatient clinics and inpatient ward work. Lead and deliver a MIBI service. The department actively participates in clinical trials such as Galactic, ETNA, and the Recovery trial during Covid-19. You will have the opportunity to engage in both commercial and non-commercial clinical trials to advance medical knowledge and patient care. Take part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching for students from Leicester and Cambridge Universities, as well as Senior House Officers and MRCP candidates. Share responsibility for the education and training of 3 Specialist Registrars in Cardiology as part of the Eastern Deanery rotation. Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) through study leave, courses, and other educational activities. Participate in clinical governance activities, including regular audits, feedback meetings, and reviews of adverse events/complaints. Contribute to maintaining a culture of learning, patient safety, and quality improvement within the Trust.
