Are you passionate about shaping the future of paramedicine? Would you like to contribute to an innovative and growing academic portfolio, including the development of a new apprenticeship programme?
We have an exciting opportunity for a registered paramedic with expertise in clinical practice, education, or research to join our team at a time of significant growth. Since launching our BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science programme, student recruitment has gone from strength to strength. In 2025, we will increase our cohort size by 39 students with the launch of our new BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science Apprenticeship. We are seeking an enthusiastic educator and practitioner to help shape this future-facing provision and continue to deliver outstanding learner experiences.
The Role
You will join a well-established, supportive academic team delivering pre- and post-registration paramedic education. This includes the BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science and the Pre-Hospital Critical Care module, with contributions across the broader health and care curriculum, including simulation and interprofessional teaching.
You will play a key role in:
* Delivering and assessing across core paramedic modules
* Supporting the development and accreditation of the apprenticeship route
* Acting as a personal tutor and providing pastoral support
* Leading modules and contributing to programme leadership
* Embedding immersive and simulation-based learning in line with PSRB requirements
* Working with local and regional partners, including the East Midlands Ambulance Service, to ensure programmes remain relevant, innovative, and responsive to workforce needs
* We particularly welcome applications from candidates with advanced paramedic practice experience, or interests in simulation, critical care, or interprofessional education.
For Senior Lecturer appointments, we would expect prior experience in module leadership, course development, and/or research or scholarly activity.
