About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Engineer to join an expanding team within the New Product Development department. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, contributing to the development of cutting-edge products.
As part of a highly skilled engineering team, you will have the autonomy to innovate, whilst being supported when needed. The role is based in Gloucester with the flexibility of 1 day remote work each week.
What You’ll Do:
* Research and develop new product ideas and methods.
* Improve existing products and processes.
* Create new designs and amend existing ones using Solidworks in a PDM environment.
* Create 2D drawings, BOMs, and ECRs while maintaining accurate engineering documentation.
* Assist in managing projects through their full design life cycle.
* Use Solidworks simulations (FEA) and produce relevant reports.
* Produce product renders and animations for marketing purposes.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards.
What We’re Looking For:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical design.
* At least 1 year of experience using Solidworks.
* Strong interest in industrial product design.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to meet demanding deadlines.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Desirable Experience:
* Knowledge of pump systems, pipework, and fluid technology.
* Background in R&D or New Product Development (NPD).
* Experience with Solidworks PDM (Product Data Management).
