In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.
In this role you will plan, secure and be the voice of the industrial functions for in production programmes. The scope of the role starts with the industrial planning of the program and ends with delivery on time, on quality and on cost with the customer. You will oversee a complex end-to-end industrial supply chain in collaboration with Heads of Operations, Heads of Industrial Engineering and Industrial Directors.
Key Responsibilities will include:
1. Fully accountable for developing, implementing, and governing industrial planning by program while adhering to industrial prompt gates (S1–S11).
2. Ensure that all industrial commitments are met in line with program objectives, industrial strategy, and requirements.
3. Serve as the primary industrial representative on the SSGB senior leadership team for in production programs.
4. Collaborate with the Heads of Operations across SSGB's three industrial estates to ensure resources are available, capable, and performing efficiently to meet the program schedule.
5. Accountable to the SSGB SLT for the deployment, monitoring, and governance of production costs per program. Ensure performance is consistently aligned with forecasts established during the BID process.
6. Implement the industrial scheme in accordance with the company's broader industrial strategy.
7. Develop, implement, and uphold qualifications and standards across all of our programs.
8. Under Industry 4.0, develop and deploy best manufacturing practices to benefit our programs.
