Lead driver (class 1)

Temp Station are currently looking for a Lead Driver/Coordinator in the Tamworth area to assist with the running of a busy transport yard day to day.

You will be working in a fast paced transport yard facilitating the coordination of drivers as well as fleet support and other general yard duties.

There may also be requirement to move units, in / out of service & on occasion complete general driving duties.

The right candidate will be an experienced Class 1 driver; A good working knowledge of truck mechanics would be advantageous as well as being flexible around duties.

Shift pattern is Monday to Friday 10:00am 20:00pm ( As a guideline, these times could change depending on daily duties )

Job role duties include but are not limited to;

-Building and Maintaining driver & client relationships

-Working along side members of the team in offices within the company

-Debrief drivers with job details

-Office work (i.e. emails, phone calls)

-Washing & Cleaning Vehicles when needed / some basic general maintenance

-Liaising with Normanton office regarding trailers and parking in the yard

-Digi Tachograph downloads for both drivers & vehicles

-Fleet Checks / working with Transport Manager
