Logistics Assistant Job Type: Full-time Location: Bourton-on-the-Water Salary: £35,000 We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to join our clients team as a Quality and Compliance Lead. This role is crucial for managing compliance with EU and domestic hours legislation, overseeing driver training, and maintaining high standards of service delivery. Day-to-day of the role: Proactively manage daily EU and domestic hours legislation, addressing infringements and coordinating necessary driver training or retraining. Work closely with the Training and Recruitment Coordinator to oversee all areas of compliance, including drug and alcohol testing, walk-round checks, gate checks, eyesight testing, and adherence to company policies and standards. Prepare and present information for third-party audits as required. Maintain oversight of vehicle presentation standards and driver performance, ensuring the highest levels of service delivery and motivating staff through positive feedback. Manage the company’s operation of the DVSA Earned Recognition Scheme and report on any emerging issues or developments to the Operations Manager, Transport Managers, and Directors. Liaise with local authorities regarding upcoming roadworks and communicate relevant information to colleagues as necessary. Provide assistance with the company’s day-to-day operations as business needs dictate. Required Skills & Qualifications: Sound knowledge of Drivers Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive, and DVSA Earned Recognition Scheme. Excellent people management and communication skills. Highly organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Proven ability to work unsupervised and with initiative. Experience in delivering excellent customer service with a keen eye for detail.
