Young people and children need to maintain the family time they have not only with family but the networks important to them. Sometimes this will need arranging and supervising and this is where you come in Enabling such an important event for a child and their family is critical. You will also work as a part of a group of support workers to ensure you can learn and share skills in working with families, and understanding behaviours and potential issues. You will be well supported within the service to develop your own practice. We are looking for the following: An understanding of child development An ability to develop relationships with children and families. Experience working with children and their families An ability to raise concerns where they may arise To be a part of a team An ability to drive distances To be able to work Saturdays and afternoons to meet the needs of the service. An understanding of Trauma informed practice Ability to communicate clearly, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage your time and prioritise tasks, with the ability to respond flexibly to changing requirement.
