The role of the Logistics Manager - Construction Products will involve:
1. Overseeing all logistics and warehouse operations for the supply of construction products and accessories.
2. Effectively managing and overseeing transport, warehouse, and yard operations.
3. Planning all delivery routes across depots to optimize fleet and driver utilization (45 vehicles).
4. Managing, developing, and conducting performance reviews for all staff within the team.
5. Ensuring drivers return correct PODs/EPODs on time, signed, dated, and printed, with collection notes returned to Transport and passed to Accounts.
6. Managing maintenance requirements to ensure compliance with relevant schemes and delivery regulations (e.g., FORS/CLOKS).
7. Managing relationships with 3rd party couriers and 3PL partners.
8. Developing and implementing strategies to optimize transportation processes and reduce costs.
The ideal applicant will be a Logistics Manager - Construction Products with:
1. Logistics / Transport Management experience, ideally within the construction industry.
2. Transport Manager CPC qualification (ideally).
3. Load planning experience.
4. Experience supervising health & safety on site (IOSH qualified).
5. Strong leadership and people management skills.
6. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
7. IT literate (Microsoft Office).
8. Organized, dynamic, and self-motivated.
