What you will be doing (the role)
* Produce architectural solutions, including security requirements and detailed designs, aligned with enterprise architecture standards to meet acceptance criteria
* Design and implement high-performance architectural patterns while analysing the performance of complex Salesforce orgs to ensure stability and efficiency
* Review and quality assure artifacts from external suppliers and internal teams, ensuring adherence to business and non-functional requirements
* Shape technical roadmaps that identify the scope, prioritization, and timelines for delivering capabilities, while addressing technical debt
* Identify opportunities for product innovation and lead design proposals, driving quick wins and aligning with the product roadmap

The skills and experience you will have

Minimum
* Deep knowledge of Salesforce governor limits and specialist performance analysis tools and techniques. In-depth experience of refactoring non-performant code and re-architecting complex Salesforce orgs
* Experience as an architect or lead software engineer working in financial services or government / regulatory bodies, and of creating strategies, roadmaps and delivery plans, enabling innovation for the relevant products, platforms, systems or components, on large projects (£5M+)
* Significant experience of working through the end-to-end project and/or product delivery lifecycle with employees, 3rd party or offshore suppliers following development methodologies (e.g. Prince2, RUP, Scrum, Agile, DevOps)
Essential
* Ability to design and implement high-performance architectural patterns resulting from the analysis of complex Salesforce orgs to ensure stability and efficiency
* Highly proficient in software engineering with a track record of using design patterns to modularise and decouple systems and of adhering to SOLID principles
* Salesforce Admin, Developer II and Architect certified and actively working toward additional Salesforce certifications
* Proven ability to innovate within a product stack while ensuring adherence to enterprise architecture standards
* Proficient knowledge of UML for effective modeling and design
* Good overall understanding of technology trends and industry standards in IT products and best practices for application, solution, and platform architectures
* Commercially aware with the ability to understand supplier proposals and promote cost-effective solutions
* Experience managing architectural risk throughout the project lifecycle and during operational phases, with familiarity in DevOps and Agile methodologies
