Purpose of the Role:
Translate the corporate customer strategy and toolkit into a comprehensive trade plan. Coordinate the Events process and critical path end-to-end for all food commercial categories. Ensure all key stakeholders and functions follow the trade plan priorities while adhering to critical path time scales. Support the team in delivering and executing seasonal events across the Seasonal Aisle and wider store.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the end-to-end process of all customer events, from brief to final execution, working with relevant stakeholders to showcase products and position Asda as the home of events.
* Support quarterly planning, working with the Trade Planning Strategy team to confirm space plans and drive the events' critical path.
* Collaborate with General Merchandise teams on shared events to ensure consistency across categories.
* Utilize data, insights, and analytics from previous events to inform briefs and review nominations, ensuring alignment with customer themes, sales, profit, and promotional principles.
* Identify growth opportunities for events annually and coordinate with relevant teams to capitalize on these.
* Work closely with the modular planner to ensure event builds are data-driven and aligned with briefs.
* Coordinate with the Anaplan team for the transition of event data and space planning onto Anaplan.
* Monitor weekly sales data to update stakeholders on event performance during and after execution.
* Collaborate with Commercial, Customer Planning, Insight, and Retail teams to execute approximately 20 events per year, including meetings, reviews, autopsies, and store walks.
* Conduct regular competitor store visits to identify market opportunities and communicate findings.
* Lead input into autopsy decks for seasonal events, working with Commercial, Modular Planning, Demand Planning, and POS teams. Collate competitor pricing and reviews to inform future briefs.
