Are you ready for a challenge? King’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit would like you to join our team!
We are looking for enthusiastic Band 5 nurses with neonatal experience, who are able to work alongside our highly reputable multidisciplinary team. We also welcome experienced adult intensive care nurses with transferrable skills who might be looking to change to a different career pathway.
You will be offered the opportunity to complete training which includes the Neonatal Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Special Care/High Dependency Course, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Course.
The Neonatal Unit is renowned for its specialist services; we are a level 3 provider in the South London Neonatal Network. The Neonatal Unit experiences a high level of activity with associated complex acuity; therefore, we need experienced neonatal nurses to join our hard-working team.
The post holder will be a key member in relation to the development of practice in the Neonatal Unit. They will be working independently/autonomously and at times without direct supervision, accountable for their own professional working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of family-centered care principles.
Responsibilities include:
1. Working with support within a multi-disciplinary team to provide continuing care to a specified group of patients from admission to discharge.
2. Supervising and teaching junior members of staff and learners as appropriate.
3. Maintaining own personal development with support.
4. Being a safe and effective practitioner able to provide high-quality nursing care to patients and support to relatives.
