Description Salary £31,067 - £ 39,513 per annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | County Hall, Preston International Sponsorship – this role is not open to international sponsorship Join Lancashire County Council as a Planning Officer Have an impact on the environment in Lancashire in this exciting opportunity for a Planning officer to join our multi-disciplinary team preparing our minerals and waste local plan. Key Responsibilities: Support the review of the local plan through data analysis and the review of documentation from specialists to make informed recommendations Preparing policy documents and other assessments and appraisals Reviewing and responding to consultation responses and assisting in the public examination of the draft plan There is also the opportunity to assist in the strategic planning projects for local developments having an impact on the communities in Lancashire. What we're looking for: You should have experience working within a planning team. You will also understand the principles of town and environmental planning policies, supported by a degree in planning or an environmental field. You be confident using specialised systems and GIS mapping software You'll have excellent communication skills.
