Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing - Planned Maintenance & Voids

Full-Time, Permanent position
Salary: £50K - £70K (DOE) + Benefits
We are working with a leading Social Housing contractor to recruit an experienced and successful Quantity Surveyor to join their planned works team delving into planned maintenance & voids contracts.
We are looking for a proven commercial professional ideally with experience in social housing refurbishment programmes, with knowledge of internal and external planned maintenance programmes and a comprehensive commercial understanding of subcontractor procurement and cost management, the CVR process, as well as excellent client relationship skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Control all expenditure
2. Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
3. On-board Sub contractors/suppliers
4. Ensure value for money & financial assessments
5. Manage day-to-day cost control & monitoring & reporting
6. Process Sub contractor requests for payment via application & invoice
7. Attend project & company-related meetings
8. Ensure timely cash flow management
9. Maintain & develop professional relationships with clients & customers
Essential Quantity Surveyor Experience:
1. Experience of planned maintenance & voids
2. Degree or other technical qualification
3. Quantity Surveying experience with a main contractor
4. Strong commercial awareness
5. Proven track record delivering contracts on time and within budget
6. Contractual awareness
7. Negotiating, communication & presentation skills
8. Knowledge of Supply Chain management
9. RICS / CIOB qualification - Preferred
