Job Title: Foundation Phase Performance Support Coach (Part-Time) Department: Academy Reporting to: Head of Academy Performance Support Purpose: To contribute towards the development of elite athletes Accrington Stanley Academy. The accountabilities of the Foundation Phase Performance Support Coach shall include: Contribute towards the delivery of performance support provision to each Academy Player. Assist the Head of Academy Performance Support to ensure that each Academy Player undergoes the following tests to measure physical and physiological fitness: Age-appropriate medical and physical screening. Anthropometric assessments. Physiological/fitness testing. Movement and posture/functional screening. Predictive testing of size and shape/maturation measurement. Be present at each Foundation Phase training session. Plan and deliver AthElite sessions for designated players in the Foundation Phase. Ensure reports are completed on Kitman Labs for all designated players and contribute to IDT meetings. In conjunction with the Designated Safeguarding Officer, ensure all policies, practices and procedures relating to the safeguarding of young people are implemented. About The Candidate Person Specification: Qualifications: Essential: • BSc (Hons) Strength & Conditioning, Sports Science or other related discipline • FA Safeguarding Qualification • Enhanced DBS Clearance Desirable • Masters Degree in Strength & Conditioning (or working towards) • UKSCA Accreditation Knowledge, skills and experience Have recent and relevant professional experience in a sports performance environment. Excellent communication skills. Competence in all MS Office packages with experience of recording and reporting information Experience of dealing with minors and an excellent understanding of Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures including the relevant clearances for individuals.
