About Our Client
A great opportunity for an Merchandiser Branded to a leading Multi-Channel retailer in the Greater Manchester area. They are looking to grow their Merchandising team as there are going through a period of growth.
Job Description
3. With the Buyer review previous season and capture lessons learned.
4. With the Buyer create the strategy for the department and present
5. Drive Team development supporting the business to facilitate internal promotions and succession planning Plan (35%):
6. Approve the proposed grading from the trading Merchandiser for input into the assortment planning process
7. Review the SMT plan at Buyer Group/Season annually and apply plan at Category/Season level to meet the Buyer Group/Season plan
8. Quarterly plan at Category/Season level with the Buyer to submit a plan on the System that reflects the best possible mix of product to deliver the KPI's
9. Formulate range plan at Store level in conjunction with the Buyer quarterly
10. Attend selection/pre-selection meetings with the Buyer and suppliers.
11. Plan the Pre Scheduling to meet the range plan - In conjunction with Assistant Merchandisers Stock (5%):
12. Overview the ratios for all buys in conjunction with Assistant merchandiser
13. Ensure that the Buy matches the plan Buy
14. Manage Intake at category and line level Trade (50%):
15. Review weekly trading performance and achieved KPI's, identifying Issues and the course of action in preparation for the weekly trading meetings
16. Propose and agree actions to recover risk and maximise opportunities with the Buyer at category and line level.
17. Monthly - Capture all agreed actions in the monthly forecast reviews
18. Work up the forecast from category/Season level to Buyer Group
19. Meet and gain approval: Incorporating
20. Forecasting any sales variance to plan
21. Creation of OTB's
22. Management of commitments - On time delivery, rebuys cancellations
23. Markdown proposals
24. Provide Retail with Merchandising aids through the Store Allocators
25. Manage the range plan in Season reflecting any changes
26. Create and Manage/monitor sell out dates against all products
27. Establish collaborative working relationships across functions including Online, Store operations, visuals, Marketing, Finance, DC and Stores Behavioural:

The Successful Applicant
33. Experience as a Junior Merchandiser, Merchandiser or similar in a head office retail environment
34. Ability to think on feet and make decisions working within in a fast-paced environment
35. Strong commercial and brand awareness with an interest in product
36. Professional with excellent communication skills
37. Confident, enthusiastic and hungry to learn
38. Highly organised, methodical and efficient
39. Experience on line management of merchandise assistants, assistant merchandisers or similar
40. Strong Excel Skills
