We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 student with Global Delay. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), specifically those with developmental delays, and will provide 1:1 support to ensure the student's academic and social development.
This role does require a teaching assistant qualifaciton as the child is on a ECHP plan.
The role involves assisting the class teacher with differentiated learning in core subjects, particularly in maths and literacy, and supporting the student's participation in classroom activities. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and be able to work collaboratively with other staff members, parents, and external agencies to track the student's progress and provide appropriate interventions.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing individualised support tailored to the student's specific needs.
Supporting the student in developing social skills and improving communication.
Assisting with behaviour management and ensuring a positive learning environment.
Working closely with the class teacher to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
