About the Role:
The Commercial Finance Analyst will play a key role in providing financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making within LexisNexis and more specifically Global Nexis Solutions (gNS). The individual will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial support for the commercial functions of the business, including forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, and reporting. This role will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the preparation and presentation of monthly and annual financial results, including revenue, costs, and profitability.
2. Assist in the analysis of financial performance versus budget and forecast, providing insightful commentary on key variances.
3. Develop and maintain financial models to analyze business performance and trends, enabling data-driven decision-making.
4. Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate business opportunities and risks.
5. Act as a trusted business partner to the Segment, Sales, and Product teams, delivering clear and concise financial insights.
6. Support pricing strategy and contract negotiations with financial impact assessments.
7. Establish, track, and report on KPIs related to commercial activities.
8. Develop dashboards and reporting tools that facilitate business leaders' understanding of financial performance.
9. Participate in strategic financial projects, such as new product launches, business acquisitions, or investments.
10. Support the preparation of business cases for new initiatives and investment proposals.
Requirements:
1. Newly Qualified / Part Qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or in process of completing exams.
2. Demonstrate experience in a financial role or finance support role, such as FP&A Analyst/Finance Business Partner/Financial Analyst.
3. Display a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
4. Have the ability to utilize financial data to diagnose business strengths and weaknesses.
5. Have excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
