The Middle Office Operations team manages operational tasks undertaken by Shared Services / Global Operations, supporting Underwriting and ensuring administrative processes for the policy lifecycle are efficient and high-quality, serving internal and external clients. This role primarily supports the Construction / Energy Transition business units.
The team supports strategic change initiatives affecting underwriting, such as operational design for Brexit, offshore service centre relocations, and data/system workstreams for new legal entities.

Responsibilities include:
1. Assisting underwriters with risk data entry, building broker relationships, and developing knowledge of business classes and accounts.
2. Liaising with underwriters to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
3. Maintaining underwriting documentation and files.
4. Coordinating with Credit Control to monitor premiums and answer queries.
5. Collaborating with support functions to respond to control reports and ensure standards are met.
6. Developing requirements for statistical reports for underwriting insights.
7. Monitoring renewal lists and coordinating renewal processes.
8. Supporting renewal processes alongside underwriters, pricing, claims, and governance teams.
9. Working with shared services to ensure timely and accurate support to underwriters and clients.
10. Performing ad-hoc duties and participating in projects.
You will report to the Operations Manager - Middle Office.
We’re looking for candidates who have:
* At least A-level standard education or equivalent business experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLookups, pivots, and formulas.
* Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams is advantageous.
* System data entry experience is beneficial.
* A rational approach to complex data analysis.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* High accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent organizational skills, proactive planning, and the ability to prioritize independently.
