As a Principal Planning Officer, you will manage larger and more complex development projects. You will also lead and guide less experienced officers. Starting salary: £45,841 (up to £51,538) plus 7.5% market supplement for 3 years. About you, the ideal Principal Planning Officer for the job: In addition to holding a degree and a professional planning qualification, you will have; Strong negotiation and decision-making. Excellent problem-solving skills. Thorough knowledge of the land use planning system, the legislative framework and current best practices. Membership of the RTPI is desirable but not essential.
