We have an interesting permanent business support role with Children's Services Cared for Children & Care Leavers Service based at Delamere House Crewe CW1 2JZ.
You will be completing daily tasks of the below:
1. Word Processing provision; letters, legal documents and child related documentation
2. Telephone communication and enable effective liaison
3. Maintaining electronic filing systems
4. Process financial transactions
5. Updating client/service users database
6. Servicing and minuting meetings
The job is a pivotal and valuable one and the role varies from arranging meetings, booking appointments, data entry, word processing and general administrative support, the ordering of resources, arranging drug and alcohol tests, minuting multi-agency meetings, taking telephone calls, diary management and processing financial transactions. We use a number of ICT platforms on a daily basis to enter and/or evaluate data, maintain service user records and gather and share accurate and sensitive information with other professional agencies such as the Police, education and health services.
You will need to be able to work well under pressure and be able to deal with a high volume of calls from members of the public who may at times be distressed or anxious and experiencing family difficulties. You will also have regular contact with a range of education, health and social care professionals and so will need the ability to adapt your responses accordingly.
The successful candidate will be someone who is a self-starter, confident in handling and protecting sensitive information, able to adapt to change and have excellent organisational and communication skills, with a high capacity to deliver within defined deadlines.
Knowledge of word processing, document management and proven effective administrative and financial experience is essential. Working with systems such as Liquid Logic is desirable.
You will need to be flexible, be able to prioritise your workload and be a team player.
1 permanent Part time role - Work pattern is: Wed 12-5pm, Thursday and Friday 8.30-5pm
