We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Business Warehouse Developer to join our IT team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical projects that support the council's reporting and analysis needs for Finance and HR Services.

About the role
As an SAP Business Warehouse Developer, you will act as the overall design authority for the warehouse, ensuring all data stored meets the needs of Finance and HR amongst other internal customers. You will be responsible for populating the SAP Business Warehouse with data from the Council’s SAP ECC 6 and SRM 7 system, building data models, and supporting end users. In addition, you will work closely with the council's business intelligence teams to enable and optimise access to SAP BW data for presentation in Power BI reports and dashboards. This role requires customer engagement and design methodology skills to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs.
Responsibilities:
Design, Develop, and Maintain:
* SAP BW data models, extractors, and reports.
* Work with business users and stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
ETL Processes:
* Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Optimization and Troubleshooting:
* Optimize and troubleshoot existing SAP BW solutions.
Data Integrity:
* Ensure data integrity and consistency across the SAP BW environment.
Support and Training:
* Provide support and training to end-users.
Any-Desk:
As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.
About you
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience as a technical/professional expert in a large/complex organisation with expert knowledge in SAP Business Warehouse. You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment. A strong understanding of BW data structures and extract/load techniques along with strong analytical and design skills is essential. Additionally, you should be passionate about collaborating with other internal teams to meet the needs of internal customers.
