Pengarth Day Centre is a small Charity in Penzance. We are professional, innovative, and our goal is to provide nutritional refreshments, home cooked lunches, and a great meals on wheels delivery service to the older generation over 57.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to the restaurant's recipes and standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food production
- Monitor food quality and presentation to meet customer expectations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef or line cook in a restaurant setting
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality dishes
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Full DBS check will be required as delivering to service users homes
- Full driving licence required as may need to deliver Meals to cover holidays/sickness
