People Partner - Employee Relations & Policy Advisor

Your new team
The HR Business Partnering team support employees across all of our UK-based businesses, in a diverse range of functions, including Marketing, Commercial, Finance, HR, Tech & Legal. This role is key to providing a seamless HR service, though owning operational people issues and enabling the Business Partners to deliver high-level strategic solutions.
Your unique contribution
You will have 6 main areas of responsibility:
1. Provide support and first point of contact for line managers on operational people issues.
2. Provide guidance, training and coaching support to Line Managers / Employees on policies and procedures in relation to maternity, absence, discipline, grievance, performance management, flexible working, parental leave, and any other HR Policies, including employment legislation, in order to enhance their people management capabilities.
3. Lead on all ER cases – grievances, disciplinary, absence, well-being, provide operational support on organisational change and business restructuring.
4. Development & updating of people policies & procedures.
5. Support the HRBPs in the delivery of annual processes including performance, talent, merit and bonus.
6. Facilitate the communication process between HRBPs, management and employees.
Who you’ll be working with
Internally, you’ll work with the Human Resources Business Partnering team, HR Centres of Excellence and Shared Service Centres, HR Directors for three UK affiliates and business leaders and employees. Externally, your contacts will be 3rd party service providers and employment lawyers.
Your blend of talent
This position could be right for you if you:
1. Have relevant experience within a customer focussed HR department.
2. CIPD graduate membership would be an advantage.
3. An up to date working knowledge of employment law.
4. In-depth knowledge of HR policies, systems and processes.
5. Experience in working with HR Information Systems, (in particular Workday would be a distinct advantage).
6. Strong networking and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building and developing good working relationships at all levels in the business.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
8. A reliable individual, who is a good team player with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
9. Resilient and comfortable working with ambiguity.
