Job Description
Company description:
XPO, Inc
Job description:
Here at XPO Logistics, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Solution Design Manager to join our growing team. As part of our continued expansion and development, we are building a new team focusing on Warehouse Solution Design and are looking for the next superstar in this arena. Working across all areas of the business, this is an opportunity to join at the outset and be part of creating and shaping a successful team.
Pay, benefits and more:
We are offering a competitive salary based on experience and your future potential as well as a company bonus scheme. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. The role is Monday to Friday, with flexible, hybrid working, so please don't feel you have to live on our doorstep; we can consider applicants from further afield, and there is a company car or an allowance with the role. You'll have access to company-funded private medical insurance and dental cover, a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.
What you'll do on a typical day:
1. Be part of the team shaping and designing the processes that will deliver future success with warehouse opportunities.
2. Work alongside our strategic development team to understand the needs and requirements of new potential customers.
3. Design and develop warehouse solutions for shared user and dedicated environments including understanding and proposing automated and mechanised solutions where appropriate. You’ll be involved from understanding the data through to providing fully costed solutions.
4. Get involved in optimisation projects for our existing customers and propose new and improved ways of working.
5. Use your initiative, ideas, and know-how to make a real difference and impact.
6. Be a key part of the team that wins and delivers new projects for XPO.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
1. You’ll have experience of working within solution design; however, we are prepared to consider someone looking for the next step up.
2. You’ll enjoy working autonomously, but as part of a team.
3. Experience of data analysis and identifying exciting and innovative solutions.
4. Experience of liaising with customers, both face to face and remotely.
5. Previous experience of AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other similar software would be advantageous.
6. Knowledge of automation and mechanisation would be beneficial but not essential.
