Responsibilities
* Design minor electrical circuits and test and troubleshoot electrical, PLC, and electronic circuits used for the control of machines and equipment.
* Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
* Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints.
* Must have knowledge of electrical power, steam, water, and gas distribution systems.
* Must perform basic mechanical repairs.
* Must be able to perform the work of the lower-class identifications.
* May direct the work of others in the lower classifications.
* Must dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as brushes and armatures.
* Must install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
* Interpret blueprints, work from sketches, or verbal instructions.
* Do layouts, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, and new services to include panels, breakers, and conduit.
* Must mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications.
* Do repairs, installs, replaces, and test electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
* Perform a variety of work as directed by the Group Leader.
What You Need To Succeed:
* Two-year Associate degree or 0-2 years of experience.
* Ability to utilize a computer to search for parts and enter work into a CMMS.
Our jobs require:
* Standing for long periods, sitting, manual dexterity, stooping, bending.
* Passing a pre-employment physical including a baseline test of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
* Passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
