What the role involves The Dietetic work varies between 1:1 input or group work, managing a range of complex presentations including nutrition support, weight management and disordered eating. The post-holder will provide a full Dietetic assessment of a individuals needs, resulting in an individualised Dietetic plan, and work in close collaboration with the catering team and wider multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist advice on oral and alternative feeding regimes. Candidates should be a Registered Dietitian, preferably with some experience of working in a mental health setting, with excellent communication and IT skills. A working knowledge of behaviour change and motivational interviewing would be desirable. We have a robust clinical supervision structure and you would have opportunities to receive formal and informal training. You will receive regular clinical supervision, with a strong emphasis placed on Continued Professional Development. We are looking for someone whohas: A BSc or MSc in Dietetics and Registration with HCPC Experience in managing eating disorders and / or disordered eating (essential) and working with individuals with a mental health diagnosis (desirable) Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team Knowledgeable of all aspects of clinical governance Why Cygnet?
