Venator is recruiting for a HR Business Partner on a 12 months fixed term contract, to join the HR Business Partnering team based at Wynyard HQ.
Reporting to the HR Manager, the role works closely with managers predominantly across Wynyard and Birtley site to support and implement appropriate business and people solutions aligned to organizational objectives and culture. The job holder will also provide first line support to associates based at HQ and nominated remote locations globally.
Job responsibilities include:
1. Builds and maintains strong relationships with managers in order to understand the business and provide effective people practices.
2. Formulates strong partnerships internally across the broader HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees, supporting and driving change where required.
3. Maintains an in-depth and up to date knowledge of legal requirements relating to day to day management of employees (including those employees outside of the UK), reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Works closely with external legal counsel where necessary to obtain sound advice to support managers with making people-related decisions.
4. Supports employee relations matters and where necessary with thorough and objective investigations.
5. Provides advice and guidance to managers in relation to team changes, resourcing, talent and planning.
6. Advises and coaches managers as their key HR contact for people related matters and supporting them through relevant people-related processes and policies for example, but not limited to, flexible working, recruitment, absence management, disciplinary and grievance.
Candidate requirements:
7. Educated to certified CIPD level, preferably with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
8. Extensive experience working in an HR advisory or business partnering role
9. The role is fast paced and requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to make decisions and effectively manage your own workload.
10. Must be able to thrive working as part of a closely connected team, collaborating and sharing information to ensure a consistent and service driven approach.
