We have a position for a Learning Support Assistant providing 1 to 1 support:
5 days Monday to Friday 8:45 - 3:15pm

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking learning support assistant to support children within a small group, and on a 1:1 basis in class support. In addition to your role in class, you will be expected to:
1. Work alongside the class teacher to plan and prepare or adapt resources for key children.
2. Work alongside external agencies, and apply any advice into classroom practice (e.g., the Educational Psychologist or Speech and Language Therapist).
3. Attend meetings such as 'One Plans' and annual reviews.
4. Support pupils at lunch and carry out break duties.
5. Carry out any duties as directed by the class teacher, Senior Leadership team, or Head Teacher as required.

Minimum Requirements:
1. Have a good standard of English and Maths (to GCSE level).
2. Have relevant knowledge of Safeguarding procedures and why these are important.
3. Clearly enjoy being with children and supporting them to achieve their best.
4. Have an ability to work independently using own initiative.
5. Be physically fit due to physical demands of post.
6. Be patient, empathetic, and understanding.
7. Be able to work well as part of a team.
8. Accept advice and direction with a willingness to act upon this.
9. Be flexible and adaptable.
10. Be respectful of confidentiality.
11. Ensure high standards in behaviour and pupil learning working in accordance with school policies.
12. Be willing to attend training and demonstrate a commitment to professional development.
Desirable:
1. Child Care or LSA qualifications to NVQ level 2 or above.
2. First aid certificates.
3. Training and understanding of the key principles of Trauma Perceptive Practice.
4. TPP & PRICE trained.
