Description PLEASE NOTE THIS POST IS ONLY OPEN TO INTERNAL APPLICANTS Organisation: Leicestershire County Council Work Location: County Hall Glenfield Leicester LE3 8RA Worker Category: Hybrid Worker Salary: £52,413-£57,774 Working Hours: 37 per week Contract Type: Permanent Closing Date: 3rd November 2024 Interview Date(s): Provisionally 20th November 2024 -this will include a presentation to the panel based on key requirements of the post About the Role We have an exciting opportunity available for an individual to join our FRCD management team as an Assistant Service Manager The post holder will be able to work flexibly to lead projects identified by the Service Manager as the needs of the service change, this includes providing line management and supervision to Senior practitioners and Team managers across the whole service, as necessary. The post is currently focused on our screening processes and requires an understanding of data driven performance based on effective systems and processes. We are implementing a range of changes to further enhance our responses to incoming work and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate their ability to deliver change in a way that supports practitioner engagement whilst driving continuous improvement. About You To apply for this post, you must have : SW qualification and evidence of relevant skills knowledge and experience A proven track record of delivering improvement activity which impacts on outcomes for children using performance data and audit Extensive experience of management in a statutory social work context with evidence of strong decision-making skills in respect of thresholds for interventions as a line manager The ability to work strategically with managers in other departments and agencies to improve multi-agency safeguarding working and underlying processes Evidence of the skills to offer a high support and high challenge approach to leadership with Equality Diversity and Inclusion at the heart of your practice The ability to work on initiative to problem solve complex issues, inform, and implement system change Highly developed skills and experience of making decisions to safeguarding children in a fast-paced statutory environment You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
