Key Accountabilities
* Assisting in the daily running of the laboratory
* Performing QC sampling and testing as per related SOPs/ Test Methods, including at times, implementation of new QC methods/ procedures
* Controlling the release of incoming materials and bulk/ finished goods
* Completing QC documentation and relevant record keeping applicable to QC processes
* Logging QC data into relevant QC systems (e.g., SAP) as applicable
* Maintaining and archiving records
* Ensuring materials are stored as per mandated retain product requirements
* Lab support for internal and external audits
* Control and calibration of all monitoring and measuring equipment
* Escalation of quality issues when identified
* General support of Site QMS (e.g., ISO9001)
About You:
We are seeking an experienced QC Laboratory Technician. Additionally, the following are requirements for the role:
* Qualified to NVQ Level 3 with GCSE Grades C / 4 and above in Maths, English
* Proficient use of IT systems (MS Office, SAP)
* A quality mindset and focus on customer needs
* Hands-on experience with laboratory testing techniques (e.g., pH meters, viscometers, density meters, etc.)
* Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Desired to have laboratory experience within an FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) business
* Manufacturing experience preferably in FMCG. Desirable to have GMP and ISO9001 experience/ understanding
