An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Facilities Management Team for a Band 4 Assistant Facilities Manager.
Applicants must have good organisational skills, the ability to motivate staff, and have a proven ability to create effective working relationships and build teams. You must also be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, have numerical awareness, and the ability to write reports. Previous experience working within operational facilities is essential.
Applicants will provide support and assistance to the Heads of Service in the running of all services within the Facilities Directorate.

Main duties of the job
* To provide support and assistance to all Heads of Service within Facilities in the running of all services within the Facilities Department.
* To manage facilities staff in line with Trust Policies and procedures.
* To provide leadership and support to the facilities staff, establishing and developing working relationships and regular communications between ward and departmental managers within the Trust.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Minimum of 4 GCSEs including English and Maths
* NVQ 3 / City & Guilds Cleaning & Support Services Skills or equivalent level of experience
* Computer literate with all MS applications
* Previous Supervisory experience
* HCIMA/Degree level or FM management experience
Skills and Abilities
* Confidence in communicating with staff at all levels both written and verbally
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Ability to identify own limitations and know when to seek advice and help
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Experience of leading and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Knowledge of NHS systems
* Good knowledge of healthcare environment
