About the role
This is a fast-paced and ambitious team looking to raise the bar for research and impact communications at Breast Cancer Now. Your main focus will be on producing engaging stories about the impact of our research while using your communications expertise to support the wider organization in communicating the impact of Breast Cancer Now’s support and influencing activities for various external audiences. You’ll oversee and coordinate the provision of captivating research and support content to support fundraising bids, proposals, and updates. Acting as the main link between the research communications and the research and health PR team, you will develop inspiring, scientifically sound stories for the media, maximize our ability to respond to ad-hoc requests from journalists, and build on Breast Cancer Now’s status as the go-to charity for breast cancer expertise.
About you
You’ll be excited about utilizing your scientific expertise and impact communications experience to bolster breast cancer research and support. You’ll be comfortable in a people-facing role, working across multiple teams and building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll be confident working autonomously, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and enjoy managing multiple diverse projects.
Primary location of role and hybrid working
This role is primarily based in our London office. Our hybrid working model allows you to work up to 3 days per week at home.
