Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our mechanical systems. Your expertise and dedication will be crucial in preventing downtime, optimizing equipment performance, and contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
1. Conducting routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
2. Performing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems.
3. Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions and implementing effective solutions.
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
5. Documenting maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
2. Proficiency in mechanical maintenance techniques.
3. Solid understanding of multi-skilled maintenance practices.
4. Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
7. Relevant certification or degree in engineering or a related field.
Day-to-day
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will start your day by reviewing maintenance schedules and prioritizing tasks based on equipment needs. You will then perform routine inspections and maintenance activities, responding to any urgent repairs or issues as they arise. Throughout the day, you will collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to address maintenance requirements and ensure the smooth operation of critical systems. Your dedication to proactive maintenance and teamwork will contribute to the overall success of our organization.
Hours and Benefits
(Apply online only) Monday to Friday (1 in 8 Saturdays will be required to work).
£37,000 per annum.
